1. Clinical coordinator/advisor (positions in Montreal and Quebec City):

Summary of tasks
Responsible for the entire organ donation process, from handling referrals of potential donors to allocating organs and performing various post-donation follow-ups. The role includes serving as clinical advisor following death determination by neurologic criteria (DNC), during monitoring and maintenance of the donor, and during organ retrieval. The clinical coordinator/advisor also serves as a resource and support person and follows up with families throughout the organ donation process; provides training and information to professionals working in the health and social services network; and abides by the standards of practice in effect in the area of organ donation.

At least three (3) years of experience in intensive care, emergency care or traumatology

2. Liaison nurse (positions in Montreal):

Summary of tasks

Responsible for organizing activities surrounding organ and tissue donation. Works closely with the clinical coordinator/advisor, the various healthcare institutions’ organ donation committees, the Professional Services Department at certain hospitals as well as their multidisciplinary teams, particularly the Intensive Care and Emergency teams.
The liaison nurse approaches, supports and provides follow-up to families throughout the organ donation process. The liaison nurse plans and organizes training and awareness activities for health professionals in order to increase the number of referrals and the family consent rate, which is achieved by identifying potential donors early.

1. Computer technician (position in Montreal):

Summary of tasks
The technician works in a variety of areas, taking part in IT maintenance and organizational application upgrade work within a general framework established by the Office of the Executive Director. The computer technician helps develop and improve computer programs; helps produce technical documentation on selected computer components and carries out tests on these components; takes part in the testing process and implementation, while providing production support; provides technical advice during computer system evaluations and system development studies; ensures the smooth operation, maintenance and integrity of applications, software, software packages, and information and communication systems being used on the various platforms; and provides advice and support to end users and intervenes when service interruptions occur.

Profile

Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) with a specialization in computing
Two years of experience in similar roles, such as Microsoft Windows network administration, basic knowledge of SQL databases and Windows operating systems

 

2. Administrative technician – Clinical and Medical Services Departments (position in Montreal):

Summary of tasks
The technician carries out tasks related to the organization of work and performs complex administrative tasks for the Medical and Clinical Services departments, specifically by collecting and analyzing clinical data. The technician manages organ recipient files, verifying the validity of waiting list entries and performing data entry and filing; inputs data for patients awaiting a liver and provides the necessary follow-up; prepares agendas and notices of convocation for various medical subcommittees and drafts the minutes; provides the Medical Department with administrative support.

Profile

Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Secretarial Studies or the equivalent
Five years of secretarial experience
Excellent knowledge of French
Bilingual (French and English)

 

3. Administrative technician – Administrative Services (position in Montreal):

Summary of tasks
The technician carries out tasks related to personnel management, financial management and work organization; plans the execution of complex administrative tasks by collecting and analyzing data; verifies, files and posts supplier invoices and expense accounts; collects, files, inputs and transfers payroll information electronically; oversees employee participation in group insurance policies and the pension plan.

Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Administrative Techniques or the equivalent
Five years of experience in general accounting and payroll management

 

4. Communications technician (position in Montreal):

Summary of tasks
The communications technician disseminates information using the appropriate vehicles (Web site, media releases, letters, pamphlets, programs); designs and produces various documents and drafts certain documents; coordinates the production of the newsletter and produces the press review; helps organize official events and responds to requests from internal and external clients on matters relating to public awareness; and provides administrative service to the Communications Department.

Profile

Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) with a specialization in Communication or another relevant field
At least two years of experience in communication
Mastery of spoken and written French and good knowledge of spoken and written English

 

5. Administrative officer (position in Montreal ans Quebec City):

Summary of tasks
The administrative officer provides follow-up on quality-assurance matters and on the entire process of managing controlled documents and training records for Clinical Services employees; carries out document management tasks by updating various registries; formats and corrects, as needed, all documents related to the updating and archiving of expired original forms; issues qualification certificates for various training sessions related to controlled documents from the Clinical Services Department and follows-up on them.

Profile
Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) with a specialization in Office Automation or Document Sciences. At least three years of experience in secretarial or document-management work. 

 

6. Administrative officer, Class 2:

Summary of tasks
The Class 2 administrative officer greets visitors, receives and transfers phone calls and mail; provides secretarial support to the coordinators/advisors and to management staff when required; maintains inventories of stationery, forms and various promotional tools; ensures that office automation equipment is functioning properly.

Profile

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) with a specialization in Office Automation.
At least one year of experience in office automation.
