In conjunction with National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week (NOTDAW), Transplant Québec more than ever wishes to reaffirm the importance of organ donation, because the lives of patients depend on it. Even at this time of pandemic, organ donation activities continue to be carried out. 

Transplant Québec is publishing today its 2019 data report. It shows that for the first time in Transplant Québec’s history, the number of referrals for organ donation is exceeding the number of persons on the waiting list. The number of referrals to Transplant Québec by hospitals has increased yearly, reaching 820 in 2019, an increase of close to 9% compared to the previous year.
